1. WHO MAY ATTEND

Courses are available to anyone. No experience is required, however experience with a manual transmission is necessary.
Certain height (max. 6'-4")and weight (max. 225lbs) restrictions may apply however the race cars can be adjusted to fit most any students There is no minimum age however students accepted by the Jim Russell Racing School under 18 must have parental consent.

2. SAFETY

With over 46 years of training experience, the Jim Russell Racing School has produced an unequalled safety record, with no major injuries having occured in a Jim Russell Racing School training program.

3. DAMAGES

Students are not held responsible for damages that may be incurred to a race car during any Introductory level program, including the Techniques of Racing Course, Trial Day and Test Drive. Students enrolled in Advanced programs, including the Advanced Racing Course and Advanced Lapping will be liable for damages, limited to $8500.00.

5. TRACK TIME AND CLASS SIZE

To ensure students receive instruction tailored to their own ability, the Jim Russell Racing School keeps class sizes small, and because there is no car sharing in our Techniques of Racing Course and Advanced Racing programs tracktime is maximized.

6. WHAT IS INCLUDED

Our tuition includes everything except applicable taxes, personal transportation, lodging and meals.

7. CANCELLATIONS

You may cancel or re-schedule your reservation anytime 60 days prior to to the first day of your scheduled program, there will be a $100 processing fee deducted from your deposit. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

8. WHAT TO BRING

Upon your arrival at the school we will outfit you with the use of a Bell racing helmet, Sparco racing suit, Sparco racing gloves and nomex headsock. We recommend you dress casually, wearing form fitting shoes or similar light footwear. Best results are flat bottom soled shoes. A tee shirt and short pants are all you need underneath the racing suit. If you have your own racing equipment you are more than welcome to use it providing it meets current safety standards.

9. PICTURES

An official photographer will be on site taking pictures during your school, and offers a unique souvenir package available to students. Arrangements for this will be at the track. (you are welcome to use your own camera).

10. GUESTS

If you have a traveling companion he or she is most welcome to observe the School in session or enjoy the many fine shops, restaurants and activities available in the Mont Tremblant Region.

The race track is an exciting but still a dangerous place. For this reason we ask that you observe the following track regulations:

CHILDREN:: Children under 12 years of age are not permitted in the pitlane and must be accompanied and escorted by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

PETS:: No pets are allowed. Only seeing-eye dogs or dogs used to assist disabled guests are allowed past the admission gates to the circuit.

11. DIRECTIONS TO THE RACE TRACK

We recommend you rent a car at the airport. If you do not have a car, direct bus transfers are available from the Dorval Airport and Mont Tremblant through Skyport International. Public transportation is also available between the sectors of Mont Tremblant, St. Jovite and the Tremblant Resort, with a stop located within walking distance to the tracks paddock entrance.

From Points West:

Enter Montreal via Autoroute 40; turn North on Autoroute 13; East on Autoroute 640 and finally North on Autoroute 15, the Laurentian Autoroute.

From Points East:

By-pass Montreal via Autoroute 640; turn North on Autoroute 15, the Laurentian Autoroute.

From Points South:

Enter Montreal via Autoroute 15 using the Champlain Bridge; turn East on Autoroute 40, then North on Autoroute 15, the Laurentian Autoroute. This is a LEFT lane exit off 40 and on to 15.

From the Airport:

From Dorval Airport, travel East on Route 520; turn North on Autoroute 13; turn East on Autoroute 640 and finally North on Autoroute 15, the Laurentian Autoroute.

The Laurentian Autoroute (15) ends in St. Agathe but will automatically connect with Highway 117. Continue Northbound on 117 to just past the town of St. Jovite, and take exit 119 Montée Ryan Road for Mont Tremblant. Having turned right on Montée Ryan Road, continue to the round about and continue 270 degrees around and exit on Chemin du Village (Route 327). CONTINUE ON CHEMIN DU VILLAGE PAST THE FRONT GATES OF THE RACE TRACK through the village of Mont Tremblant then turn right on Chemin Seguin street, which ends at the paddock entrance to the track.
